First backpacking trip with my son Jonah since he finished treatment for osteosarcoma. He did an amazing job on the 4- mile hike. Beautiful scenery and cool nights!

Explorer Waterfall Trip- 6/2-3/2017
A 2 day trip to 7 different waterfalls from Duluth to Grand Portage, MN. Hikes ranged from 1/2 mile to 7 miles for some beautiful waterfall scenery. We didn’t get to the waterfall at George H. Crosby because of high water so another trip will be coming.
BWCA Eagle Mountain- 7/20-21/2016
Quick, solo overnight hike to the highest point in Minnesota. Beautiful scenery and good trail although a bit rocky at times. Hiked a total of 17 miles in the 2 days.
Hiking in Japan 11/10/2013
Wonderful visit to Misawa, Japan, thanks to Make-a-Wish foundation. Spent a day hiking on the Tohoku long distance nature trail.
